Turmeric and ginger smoothie

Today we are spicing up our morning smoothie with two powerful and medicinal spices; turmeric and ginger.  

If you want to create a delicious smoothie with powerful antioxidants, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties, then look no further then this super smoothie.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup coconut milk - we love using Pure Harvest Coco Quench as they don't add any sugars and all the ingredients are natural
  • 1/2 banana
  • 6-8 raw cashews
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric - we generally use ground turmeric but if you have fresh turmeric, grate in 1/2 to 1 teaspoon
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh ginger (grated)
  • 1 fresh Medjool date (stone removed) - alternatively you can use 1 teaspoon of raw honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon maca (optional)

Method:

  1. Place all ingredients into blender & blend until smooth and creamy
  2. Enjoy!
