BONDI TO COOGEE COASTAL WALK


It is often said that the best things in life are free and the 6km of picturesque coastal paths from Bondi to Coogee are indeed one of the best things about working out in Bondi.

Undoubtedly one of the most scenic paths in Sydney, covering 5 beaches and various coves and bays, the incredible views at each turn are the perfect way to distract your mind (and legs!) from the hills along the way. And just wait until you get to the top of the Bronte carpark and set your eyes on Clovelly cemetery, one of the many beautifully stunning stops along this track.

OK so we know this is not strictly in Bondi but it is just too good to not make the list! Co-founder Mel has established a cult following over the last decade and it’s easy to see why – her classes are the perfect balance of zen and power and you’re always guaranteed to walk out of class having that ‘new person’ feeling.

Class tip: We love Mel’s Vinyasa Flow classes. Mel is also renowned for her Yin classes so be sure to put that on your yoga bucket list!

A newcomer to Bondi, KX Pilates has established a cult following in its hometown of Melbourne. If you are looking for a high intensity reformer Pilates workout that encompasses all over body-toning and endurance training then this place is for you. 

SOFT SAND RUNNING

The sand on Bondi Beach stretches ~1km from south to north and during the warmer months, there is nothing better than hitting the beach for a soft sand running session. Soft sand running is a great full body workout and the instability of the sand recruits many more muscles whilst being kind to your joints. Oh and did we mention all the gorgeous surfers along the way?
